April Website Update:
St. Stephen has a goal for all our families to “Think Orange”
Family (red = heart) + Church (yellow = light) = Orange
“the two combined influences make a greater impact than just two influences alone.”
We are here to provide tools, equip and work alongside parents to influence all our kids for Jesus.
Nursery and Preschool
The Nursery is where our babies and toddlers (newborn through 2) begin to learn about God. Depending on their age, ability and comprehension level we offer a play-based class where your child begins to learn about God’s love for them. The Preschool class (3 through Kindergarten) is a teacher-directed class where a Bible story, activity pages and crafts that relate back to our lesson are provided. Our program is identical for all weekend services and meets in the BJ Miller Education Wing.
Be sure and pick up a Parent Cue when you check in your child. You will find fun ideas and activities that complement our weekend lesson.
April Bottom Line: Jesus is the best.
Memory Verse: “God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son.” John 3:16
Parent Time: Happy Easter! It’s time to celebrate that Jesus is alive! We get to tell your children the true story of how much God loves them and how He gave them His only Son. We get to tell them that Jesus is alive, and He wants to be their friend forever.
Our elementary kids (1st through 5th grade) will meet friends, have fun and learn about God. Our large group teaching introduces the bible story for the day where our small groups have activities that reinforce the story and help our kids learn how to apply that biblical truth to their daily life. Our program is identical for all weekend services and meets in the Chapel.
Be sure to pick up a Parent Cue when you check in your child. You will find fun ideas and activities that complements our weekend lesson. For our elementary kids you can also pick up GodTime Cards that encourages them to spend daily time with God and take the weekend lesson a little deeper.
April Bottom Line: I can put others first by serving them.
Memory Verse: “Don’t do anything only to get ahead. Don’t do it because you are proud. Instead, be humble. Value others more than yourself.” Philippians 2:3
Parent Time: Jesus’ ultimate act of humility on Earth was His sacrificial death. He could have called down an angel army to protect Him, but instead, allowed Himself to be wrongly accused and arrested. He could have been worshipped with a gold crown and royal robes, but instead wore a crown of thorns. Jesus deserved praise and adoration, but sacrificed Himself for us.
